I sit here and I write at 9:30 Thursday night.... (after a couple of beers)The Sargeant and the young cop,as part of their duty,sat down to reviewthe bungled burglary.The Sargeant with a stony eyeregarded the young manand said that this will blow sky highso tell me what you can.Well...My tyres crunched down along the stone,the felon turned to run.But when he saw I was alonehe turned and raised his gun.The first shot that he fired at mestruck me full of fearI thought of my young familyand all that I held dear.But I was steadfast to my dutyand aimed most carefullywhen the second shot cracked past meI shot him in the knee.Well then how do you explainthe Sargeant did retortthe contents very plainof the coroners report?See it says right here,the felon's dead as dead.The cause it would appearwas a bullet through his head.
