That C-97 is pretty cool. Did you ever refuel from one of those with a F-105 Ed? Must have been right at stall if so. Just found a picture of one refueling A-7s.
That must have been a lot of fun. I remember in the "Great Planes" series chapter on the F-104, of one refueling(or trying) from a KB-50. Just wallowing around on the edge of a stall. Beautiful video though. That F-104 didn't look like a machine. Alive, like a Dolphin or something. Just a gorgeous Airplane.
