Isn't that special. The video clip I pointed to of Rahm Emmanuel explaining that free markets don't work and that only a socialist centrally planned Marxist economy under the direction of his enlightened associates can serve America has now been pulled by the good folks at YouTube.
I thought that an fine upstanding revolutionary like Mr. Emmanuel would be able to stand behind his words.
My mistake.

Hello sir. My comment comes late, as the night shift can be rather unforgiving. I found your blog through "In From the Cold", a blog by formerspook.blogspot.com, and when I realized who you were, I had to come see what your musings have been. I have read both "When Thunder Rolls" (bought at WalMart) and "Palace Cobra" (Amazon.com), and I wanted to let you know that I believe you are possibly one of the best authors/storytellers I have ever read. I thought that the scenarios in Red Storm Rising were the absolute height of aerial combat prose. I was wrong. From errant gunsights forcing a spectacularly low and fast bomb run in an F-105 as Laredo Two, to the encounter with an old friend, now a FAC, bedecked in gold and playing the part of an unacknowledged warrior, to the night encounter with a SAM while breaking in a rookie wizzo during Linebacker II, your tales have proven that it is the true stories of war that carry the most distinction and the most adrenaline. I will be reading your blog regularly now that I know it exists, but I really wanted to thank you fro providing a young man such as myself with an insight into the strategies and politics of a war that the American people would rather forget, while the American patriots remember and mourn the lost and forgotten, all while thinking what might have been.
Watch for "The Name is Olds" which should be published about this time next year, the writings of triple ace and American fighter pilot legend, Robin Olds.
I'm editing with Robin's daughter Christina and the book is currently under contract with St. Martin's Press.
Thanks for the kind words.
