Prom Refund Denied for Boyfriend Burial
Are you as skeptical about this as I am?
Some points to ponder:
- Where does a 17-year old girl get $1200 for a prom dress in the first place?
- If she has that much, then she's from a well-to-do family.
- If she doesn't have that much, then the outraged mother does.
- Where are the young man's parents and family?
- Since when does a girlfriend have to fund the funeral?
- Who is monitoring the contributions made through that Facebook page?
- What are the details of the unfortunate accident? Single car? Time of day? Causative factor?
Sorry, but this sensational story stinks up the joint on an otherwise nice Sunday morn.

I agree, Ed. When I first read it, I simply concluded that someone no longer has a prom date and just doesn't want to go now.
