Decoding the Message

It was almost as clear as George H. W. Bush's ill-fated line about "Read my lips, no new taxes!" The Messiah gave us that upraised chin and slow paced delivery with the required rhetorical pregnant pauses and intoned mellifluously that "There will be no tax increase for 95% of working Americans..."

By now we should have learned the trick of listening to a Bamster message. Whatever he says, he believes and intends to do exactly the opposite.

Maybe there is a way to spin it though so that you come away believing that you've been kissed before the act was completed. Would you really believe that if you received significant tax relief seven years ago and were enjoying tax cuts for all of that time, that re-instating the status quo ante tax-cuts would not be raising your taxes? If my next year's taxes are higher than my last year's taxes on the same amount of income, what is happening?

Some Goodies Coming For You

Now, it is important in evaluating that bad news to remember that many of you will probably not experience those tax increases. You've lost your job in the last 18 months and are either not working or forced to subsist on wages at a less lucrative position. See, don't you feel better now?

And, you've got all that free time to wait to see a technician at the Federal Healthcare clinic as soon as you get bureaucratic approval.
