Applied Economics

Here's another great economy booster!

Ban Off-Shore Drilling Everywhere!

Lemme see how that's going to work. No rig workers, no transporters, no refineries, higher gas/oil costs, less driving, reduced auto demands, increased prices for goods and services to get to market...

Yeah, Bamster, you've got a homerun with that one!

I dont want to plug my car into a wall socket either.
But would gladly do so if the price
paid in expense and convenience went directly toward ridding the dependance of the West on middle eastern oil.
Does it always have to be this way?. 25 years ago there was no end in sight to the cold war but 5 years later.. and it was far more of an ogre to deal with.

All sorts of energy mining should be encouraged within the democracies. A free and open society figures its own direction, lets give them more options!.

Until there is a massive shift in how we produce energy, plugging your car into the wall means more dependance on foreign oil, that is just how energy production works.

We would need huge/massive investments in energy transmission and storage and Generation (Nuclear and Solar the other alternatives are not cost effective alternatives)Electric cars are not the answer.

And, a bit of research on the sources of oil for the US would reveal that we are NOT dependent upon Middle Eastern oil. Oil is a global market economy. ME oil flows mostly to Europe and the former Soviet Union. The total supply is the issue, not the source. If we exploit our proven resources and stop pandering to the enviro-whacks, we can make the market work quite effectively for us for the next 100 years or more.

Currently we are politically creating an artificial market shortage and manufacturing a crisis.

They key to it is your statement about creating an artificial crisis.

It's not the enviro-whacks. In this scenario the enviro-whacks are just playing the role of "useful idiots."

What's behind this is downsizing America--weakening the last superpower so they can knock down the nation-state once and for all and at last install their globalist-socialist banker super state.

They tried to do this back in the 1940s through the instrument of Nazi Germany, but Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin had other ideas. Now, however, they have the formula right, the puppets are in place and they are probably going to win.
