Glen Beck demonstrates how to do a follow-up when you suddenly seem to have turned over a rock with crawlies under it:
I'd heard about it, but had to actually get the first hand audio. The answer to the first question would have been too easy for a viable candidate.

Read about this on Jaded Haven, but hadn't heard it. Thanks for supplying the audio. Yep, she's a truther. I agree; the first question was too easy for a viable candidate, which she now obviously is not. And Texas deserves better.
I don't know if she's a truther or not. I think in the original question, she was trying to enhance her independent, Tea Party, challenge the incumbents chops and made a very BAD political mistake with her statement. After that, she was backpedaling and trying to recover and her political inexperience showed. She could not recover.
Either way, truther or too inexperienced politically, I think the party is over for her. Which is too bad, because other than this, I think she would have brought some interesting points to the Primary that aren't going to be addressed now.
What is interesting is that almost immediately after the "interview" the clip was extracted and then went viral.
IIRC, Carl Rove is running the Rick "Gardasil" Perry campaign as, once again, the Republicrats eat their young.
It appears she was set up and without a plethora of advisors whose job it is to keep all her remarks banal and "mainstream" actually said what a lot of Americans are thinking. All the evidence is not in about 9-11 and governments DO lie to us. Everyday.
Beck trashed Ron Paul and the Republicrat party actually contributed money to his Demoncrat rival in previous elections.
As juvat says, the "interesting points" e.g. any discussion of constitutional issues and limited government issues have been relegated to the ash heap, once again.
Would someone explain to me how voting for two carefully-prepared and presented different sides of the same coin is an actual choice?
Beck's radio show is listened to by literally millions of people every day. It doesn't take a conspiracy or a puppet-master ala Rove to have a gaffe like that go viral. I saw reference to it on a couple of blogs within half an hour of the incident.
A "lot of Americans" aren't thinking that the Bush administration orchestrated 9/11 to justify an invasion of Iraq two years later.
I'm convinced even that Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy, that the Maddox and Turner Joy were actually fired on at least once in the Gulf of Tonkin, and that Pearl Harbor was a Japanese attack and not an orchestration of the tripartite commission to help America out of the Depression.
But, that's just me.
Ed you're going out on a limb there aren't you? :)
