Where's Jefferson

The line is classic, "Millions for defense but not one cent for tribute!" It would be good for the Messiah and his national security stumblers to review the history as we watch the north coast of Africa melt down and half of the east coast of Africa become a modern Spanish Main.
Frigate Philadelphia, Tripoli Harbor, 1804
For those a bit shaky on their history here's the rundown:

"to the shores of Tripoli..."

We might be revisiting the halls of Montezuma as well if Mexico continues to deteriorate.

In my great grandfather's coin collection currently in my mother's possession, there is a "red cent". I'm hoping to get a picture of it this weekend and post it for viewing. Great piece of history and couldn't be more timely.

Now be fair, Ed. B.O. is a busy man these days, what with trying to shore up his union member base without actually appearing to side with them, organizing the White House Motown party, hiring a new gay social planner and putting him to work, picking the spot for next month's family vacation...there are only so many hours in a day. Priorities, man. The Somalians and Libyans will still be there tomorrow, but Martha Reeves' schedule is pretty tight.

We no longer even have a penny for tribute, Obama has stimulated it all away.

Now we've just got his platitudes to keep pirates at bay, and we can see how well that's working out.
