Non Sequitur

In a classic example of failing to detect an entire forest because it was blocked by several trees, Maryland's finest Democratic Representative to the US House, Elijah Cummings bloviates:

DOJ Attempt to Bypass Laws Means We Need More Laws

Without commenting on the ludicrous statement with regard to supplying of "military grade" weapons, let us note that the laws in place already were the ones violated. The violation was not by criminal elements or straw purchasers, but by the crack representatives of the DOJ seeking to build a case for exactly the sort of repression which Cummings desires.

It is the government which violated the trust of the people. It is the federal bureaucracy under the direct control of the President's personal appointee that directed decent officers to not enforce the law. It is the result of that malfeasance in office that hundreds of weapons were allowed to flow across the border and resulted in the deaths of both Mexican citizens and US agents.

A law denying Americans their Constitutional rights would not correct that.

But why have facts mattered recently?

Silly Ed, you should know by now that Politicians in general and Democrats especially don't care about facts, truth, or reality.
