Once in a hole, the first step in recovery is supposedly to stop digging. But, here we see exactly what is wrong with the media in America:
For context, we need to recall that Gaza is controlled by Hamas. Hamas is accepted as being a terrorist supporting pseudo-government. They are dedicated to the destruction of Israel and they abet that goal through hosting rocket attacks from Gaza into civilian areas of Israel.
To deter that activity, Israel has isolated Gaza and declared a blockade from the sea. This is not a unilateral action against the Palestinians as Gaza has a border with Egypt as well who also supports the blockade.
Humanitarian supplies of food, medicines, etc. are allowed into Gaza but only through designated entry points and only after inspection by Israeli defense forces. That is both reasonable and just considering the fact that open access would simply funnel weapons into the region aimed at Israel. Food fine, weapons no!
Knowing that the blockade exists, our former ally and questionable NATO partner, Turkey has thumbed their nose at the Obama administration and challenged the blockade. Israel made a questionable choice of boarding the flotilla ship with non-lethal weaponry and only after being viciously attacked did they respond. A firmer initial response might have been less deadly.
Where was Helen Thomas during the attacks by Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, al Qaeda, etc. killing innocent Israelis? Where does she muster this indignation? What is the agenda here?
And, maybe most importantly, why does Hearst continue to employ her and how does she keep her White House credentials?

She's an ARAB! Why would she care at all about Israelis? It's fairly obvious, that if the definition of Antisemitism included a picture, it would be a picture of this hate filled and pitiful excuse for a human.
About 20 years too late the hate monger has been sacked...finally.
Well, the miserable piece of excrement decided to "retire" in lieu of having to be fired. I'm sure she'll find some cush job somewhere where she'll be able to wax eloquent on the injustice of it all. Good Riddance!
