As a follow-on to yesterday's good news about "Fighter Pilot" it was also mentioned by the folks at St. Martin's Press that the first week sales numbers were enough to put it on the New York Times bestseller list, except that the book didn't make the list!
Simply selling books in numbers sufficient to make the top 100 in the nation isn't enough apparently. If the topic is about American heroes, warriors and patriots you might not qualify.
Is this a great country, or what?

Yeah, I had to ask if they had it in stock at Borders (in College Station no less) because I couldn't find it in any of the usual displays. They did, but it was in the back on a discount table, albeit at full price. Fun and games!
BTW, finished it last night. MOST excellent!
