Nice footage of Lightning II at Luke, but be clear that it is the "A" model which Luke will get. The various doors and panels and articulating 90-degree nozzles are from the "B" model VTOL aircraft which is increasingly unlikely to see operational production.
Notice the helmet which really is a vital part of the man/machine integration.

Yes - a constant maintenance nightmare that will be the weakest link of this thing.
If I may illustrate: moving your head forward (or a little higher, or to the left) totally destroys the headset calibration. Recalibrate on-the-fly for such a disruption? Sure. just wait a few seconds . . .
